Name Tapes
 

I am planning on making an order to a local airsoft store which can make name tapes. Does anyone want one as well due to the fact the more the better and the cheaper it will be.

Either way an order will be asked for within the next month to the provider.

So, provide the specifics of the name tape you want

I once I am give the total, I will PM the individuals who ordered one and inform them of the amount they will have to put in.

P.S. I will divide the amount EVENLY between the people that ordered name tapes

So far my supplier has not responded to my emails regarding name tapes. Will inform airsofters who want name tapes when supplier responds.

Note: Still accepting orders and keeping track of how many each airsofter wants

... The whole supplier thing seems a little redundant... I mean; Name-tapes are available through 1800nametapes.com for like 45cents each...

Is it really worth all the trouble of receiving and dealing 'em out?

Since the supplier is American the prices will be more, unless more players want name tapes then a bulk shippment will be cheap

When sending the message tell me:
- How many name tapes you want
- What you want them to say
- The colour of the lettering
- If you want it velcro
- And the BG type ex: CADPAT,OD(olive drab),ACU,Desert

WHen is the deadline for this... as I'd want a few tapes in both White text on Black Background and Green on green sort of a deal.

Also where can I go out and buy Velcro?

I just sent an email to the supplier asking if they do velcro as well.

My deadline will be given out when the supplier replies to my message which I sent last nite.

You can get velcro at Walmart, Canadian Tire, Zellers, etc.

There is now a deadline.

The deadline is April 31st.

So if there are any more rquests let me know by then.

Once the date written above is met I will send the company a email listing what I want and of how many. I will then get a price quote. I will pay the bill myself and inform all who ordered how much they owe me.

I will use 3 different coloured sharpies, for the low low price of $2.00. No guarantee on spelling though.

Does a guy Dave's size need a name tape? Can he be mistaken for someone else?

So... who wants out due to that I'm still putting in the order eventhough what Thundercactus said.

Considering less than a dozen people (that I know of) have night vision, and the size of a name tape is pretty small, and that no-one can see it if you are lying prone waiting for ambush... I doubt anyone should change their order.

Why do the fake name tags turn bright white in infrared light? Is it to help distinguish it from the real gear?

we got our old SWORD tapes from 1800 than they turn bright white
issue tapes have a camoflauge background with is IR absorbant and the letters will turn white (US ARMY) or black (NAME).
Don't worry rommel, your nametape is the least of your problems, that nice, fake, untreated vest of yours will stand out as far as the infrared beam goes ;)

the only nightvision you dont have to worry about is a PN-58, that thing cant pick up digital camo from 30 feet away lol

I kinda knew that the vest would do that.

So, I will either have the vest treated or buy a new vest that is treated.


Which one is better?

Neither.

Ask yourself this question:
How many night-time ops did you go to last year, and how many people there were using night vision?

Then consider the expense of getting a new CIRAS vest.

After you think about all that, kick yourself in the ass for considering dropping a few hunders dollars because a small handfull of people *may* be able to see you through night vision devices.

Is there any place in Canada that you can get custom name tapes that are in American patterns such as marpat or ACU?

I have ordered from 1-800-name-tape but I was just wondering for next time, as I want to get some marpat tapes etc. and if i could get them in Canada that would be Great.
