*Pic* Why you should alway use protection

Rolly came out of a game this past Friday and asked me what the chances of breaking your rear sight is.
I figured it's around 100000 to 1 million.
None the less, it happened to him on his eotech sight:

Always use protection people!

For newer people: All you have to do is go to a hardware store and buy about a square foot of lucite/plexi-glass etc as well as a good large cutting knife and it's SUPER easy to cut out a similar shape to whatever you're trying to size it into. You just score the lucite, even for circles, and break off the edges until you get a similar form and then just push it into place.
It won't even cost you 10-$20 but can save you $100's in broken sights.

Better yet, this is what I use. This way replacement protectors are even easier to make, and you don't risk trapping moisture in between the lens and the protector on moist days.

Woa! That's pretty sweet and GREAT price too! That's pretty much what you'd pay making them yourself.
Great link thanks!

Glad to help. So you know, it's listed as Nitro Vo. but it's actually an element clone product. Not that it matters, it's a great design.
With free shipping and two lenses, the price can't be beat. As a plus you don't need to to a thing to any of your existing optics, just take it off and put it on whichever gun you're using. :)

Think it'd be worthwhile for outdoor as well as indoor?

That's what I bought it for. :)

It's on my LR-300. I'm also doing up a rig that allows me to mount it in front of my camera for Claybank. :D
