Smile Might as well introduce myself

Hello everybody, I'm new to the Airsoft scene and will be getting more into it as of january. I'm planning on rocking an MP5 ver.3 or ver.4 and will most likely be getting some ACU gear. Now I may sound like a bit of a noobie for asking this, but what are the greater differences in airsoft and paintball other than the paint :P and the guns your using? I guess I'm just looking for a fun alternative for the winter, but i want to know if there is a large enough difference that will make me want to keep playing airsoft over paintball. Well I look forward to playing with everyone in the future, and potentially starting a team, for all those interested I'd be more then willing to join up.

P.S. are there any pics of the indoor arena?

Would you say that Airsoft is less expensive, because at the moment i notice that they are similarly priced in terms of purchasing everything, well perhaps thats because i was a part of a milsim group for paintball, lol. Depending on how interested i am in doing this i think that ill ditch some old paintball stuff for entirely swap over to Airsoft. But its hard to say at the moment.

Airsoft is actually more expensive than paintball completely. Paintball guns run anywhere from $200-400 or so where as airsoft they run from $300 and up depending on the make and model you want and . The question you should really be asking yourself is, "How much money am I willing to spend?"

heh, thats an easy answer, and ive seen paintball guns range from $200-$2200. so i wasn't shocked to see a Dragononv sniper rifle to be proced at $2200 either.

I also did not tell you that there are airsoft guns that can cost up to $6,000

Heh heh, thats fine you didn't need to. those guns are not going to be used by the likes of me, I'll stick with my decision to get a good 'ol reliable mp5, and my buddy wants to get a P-90. :P I may even plan on getting an Aug.

As a matter of fact, yes that is the one I'm referring to. As far as I know it's a 10/10 gun from what I've read/heard.
