we need ramps multi level, stationary machine guns, grenades, claymores, mines, mortars, canons, have the ref at a high vantage point about everything slightly different from where hes currently at and allow us all to caryy secondary weapons

We don't really need all of that. Ramps would add a nice edge, but the chances of people tripping, falling and damaging the guns, plus the added cost of upkeeping the ramps, would probably outweigh the fun aspect. Stationary MG's, Grenades and Claymores all cost a pretty penny, MG's starting at 1 grand minimum.

We don't really need mines/claymores/mortars/cannons, it'd just get annoying if your team just put five or so claymores or mines right next to a spot where you need to cap (IE. Al in the Freezer or the place where you need to keep the briefcase) would just get frustrating for the assaulting team. Plus, it'd be another thing to possibly break. Not to mention: How would you use a mortar indoors?

And Gord makes sure we don't take two weapons (His weapons, you can take as many of yours as you want) in just because of the risks involved. The chances of dropping mags, or breaking the guns alltogether increase when your hands are full.

XT is fine as it is, a theme might be nice (IE. FIBUA, Office Building, Desert FIBUA (for those who really like DE_Dust), but overall it's the easiest way to appeal to the most people. I think it all comes down to business-sense, you gotta weight the aspect vs. the chances of breakdown, plus the upkeep.

Plus: DE_Dust sucks. CS_Office Rules!

Have you guys at XT ever considered having a day of prop building for players to come build stuff for the arena or something?
I'd be down if there was such a day. If you guys are interested, I may be able to get various pieces of damaged (but new) furniture and lamps and stuff for the gaming area (at no cost).
Also, has anyone ever considered some sort of mobile themed obstacles for different games? Like Darran suggested, it wouldn't take too much effort to make some FIBUA obstacles on locking castors that could be wheeled in and out or something.

I'm with you man, I can't stand that game. Actually it's more the kids that play the game that piss me off. I prefer Rainbow Six style games. AKA games with more mature players.

I haven't played an online game in ages. Airsoft has more than replaced them for me. I've gotten so tired of dealing with 8-12 year olds that make fun of your online handle if you kill them.
btw, CS sucks.
