Our team is aiming for a competative level of play including practices and internal training. We will be having physical as well as mental training included in our season training.

Be sure to read up on all the rule there as well. There are some changes to some of the standard rules set by XT.

DRAFT DAY - Nov 14th, 7:00pm

Draft Day is coming up quick, and we have prepared a number of events to compliment the draft.

We will have a number of events to participate in, including:
- Sharpshooting Target Competition (one for AEGs, one for Pistols)
- Obstacle Course (one for AEGs, one for Pistols)
- Field Strip (Shiiri style: First to assemble shoots the loser.)
- VIP Escort/Hostage Rescue Game

To sign up for an event, email John.Doe at john.doe@teamhellfish.com -- Remember to include the events you would like to participate in, and we'll sign you up accordingly.

Team Captains: If you're looking to fill one or two more roster spots, we have over a dozen Free Agents for you to choose from. No new teams will be permitted after the Draft Day, and the schedule will be final. Please make sure all your team members have registered on the forums and completed the registration at XT before your team's first game.

THANKS to everyone who showed up to participate in the Draft Day events!

We had enough of a turnout that we monopolized Gord's arena all night long, and we managed to complete every event successfully.

After polling the participants, the scores and results for each event will be posted for all to see. The only real problems we had was the Field Strip/Assembly event caused a few gun jams and the event needed to be changed.

The VIP Escort/Hostage Rescue game is in the process fo being rescheduled - as we ran pretty late with things last night. I will send an invitation to all who attended the Draft Day as soon as the date/time is confirmed.


Thanks again to all who participated, and the results will be up on the CQB website tonight, along with the final draft of the schedule.

If there are any people or teams that will not be able to participate, I need to know before 6pm tonight, otherwise you'll be on the permanent schedule.

All registration fees need to be in before you play your first game, as we can't let you participate in the games without signing the waiver.


I urge Team Captains to have their teammates register as soon as possible so the stats system can accurately report stats without delay. If you wait until game-day to register your stats may not be recorded as you won't have been placed on a team yet.

As per the Team Captain orientation, Referees from each team need to be identified and I need to be notified ASAP. The Referee Schedule will be made as soon as I have one rep from each team.

UPDATE.

A problem has been identified with the Team Requests system again and I'm working on it as we speak - should be fixed tonight.

I will be re-processing (manually if I have to) everyones Registrations to Activate their accounts. If you have registered (paid and signed the waiver) and your account is not active by 10pm tonight - send me a PM and I'll fix you manually.

If anyone else notices any other bugs, please bring them to my attention as well.




...why, oh why couldn't there be pre-packaged league management software already...

This may (and probably is) a stupid question but is the waiver just the standard XT one?

P.S. I Want to be on a team so badly, please don't hold the fact I didn't attend draft day against me. I had a good reason my Grandmother had bowel surgery, and i was visiting her practically every day last week; side note she is recovering nicly at Grace Hos.

I'm sure there'll be a team that'll pick you up, Glad to hear your grandma's recovering nicely.

The waiver isn't the standard XT one, If you're underage you've got to get a parent to come in and sign this one too; There's also a $50 registration fee... But it pays off in the end + there's a HUGE amount of tactics and experience you'll gain by the end.

UPDATE:

Two more teams have determined they cannot join the event this season, so the schedule will need to be re-created.

These changes are very short-notice, so the first round of games are going to be exhibition games to let each team get a feel for working together and incase some players may not be able to make it due to the schedule changes.

These exhibition games will not count towards your teams ranking, but you will still be awarded individual points for participating.

This will be an excellent opportunity for us to work all the game-day kinks out and make sure all referees, captains, and players have a clear grasp of how the season will operate.

I need all Team Captains to report to me a FULL ROSTER no later than Tuesday November 21st. All players must be registered and a waiver MUST BE SIGNED before any player can participate in a league game. This is for liability reasons and no exceptions can be made.

I can be flexible with collecting registration fees, so contact me if this is a problem, but the waiver must be signed, and the player must have an account created on the http://cqb.teamhellfish.com/ website.

Team Requests are working, and players are joining teams. So if there is a problem or someone has completed their registration at XT, but has not been activated on the site yet, email me immediately and I will activate you ASAP.

I can also be reached on my cell at 293-0077 incase of any last-minute registrations.

It is imperative that the teams are finalized immediately, and each Team Captain is responsible for getting their players going. If a player is unable to register before the Tuesday deadline - email me and we will have to come to an arrangement - but I need to know how many participants each team has.


I also need the referee representative from each team to email me to arrange time for training. The referee training will not take long, but league operations trainign will also be provided in the event of a dispute or disagreement.

So were canI get the waiver for the league. 'Cause, like I said I am already on file at XT, so their waiver isn't a problem.

Just a guess, but maybe at XT where the registration is done?
